We have a fantastic range of cat toys. Balls are great for budding footballer cats and kittens who can dribble the ball around the room at high speed. Cats love to play with toy mice, they throw them, claw them and often carry them round in their mouths.

Catnip is a dried plant in either a flake or powder form which tends to excite cats. It is generally effective on two thirds of cats and is added to toys and scratchers to help spark the cat's interest.

Grooming

Grooming is very important because it maintains a healthy coat and helps to socialise your cat - some love it and some hate it
Fleas can live in a cat's fur, so it is important to regularly comb your cat using a flea comb which has finely spaced teeth and is able to disturb the fleas. To eliminate fleas it is important to use flea preparations perscribed by your vet.

Long haired cats are prone to knots and tangles in their coats. These can cause significant pain and regular grooming is needed to keep their coat in tip top condition.

Food & Health

It is very important for cats to have regular meals. Wet food is a good source of hydration, however cats that eat dry food must have access to drinking water to maintain their fluid intake.

Cat of the month - Penny
Penny is nearly 21 years of age - still as pretty as ever. She originally came to us with her friend Poppy from the Cats Protection League. She was extremely stressed and
very nervous, but with all the TLC she became a sweet, gentle and caring cat. I tell her every day that she is the prettiest and loveliest pussycat on the planet - she purrs and is very content with this.
